Learning Goals
Develop Computational Thinking: Understand basic programming concepts and logic by coding their LEGO Robotics creations, encouraging problem-solving and algorithmic thinking.
Enhance Engineering Skills: Gain hands-on experience with mechanical design and construction, learning how different components interact and function together.

Language of Instruction
We normally teach in English, but we're happy to try and accommodate lessons in Cantonese, Putonghua, Korean, Punjabi, or other languages when possible.

Level Descriptions
Level 1
Level 1: Foundations in Robotics and Coding
- Introduction to Basic Concepts: Learn the fundamentals of robotics, including understanding sensors, motors, and the basic components of the Raspberry Pi Robotics for beginners.
- Basic Programming Skills: Get introduced to block-based coding using the Robotics app, focusing on simple commands and sequences to make their creations move and react.
- Simple Projects: Build and program simple models like a moving car or a basic robot, developing an understanding of cause and effect in programming.
Level 2
Level 2: Intermediate Engineering and Problem-Solving
- Advanced Construction Techniques: Explore more complex building techniques, incorporating gears, pulleys, and more intricate designs.
- Enhanced Coding Skills: Dive deeper into programming with loops, conditionals, and variables, allowing for more sophisticated and interactive projects.
- Thematic Challenges: Engage in themed projects that require applying engineering and coding skills to solve real-world problems, such as creating a recycling sorter or a simple machine.
Level 3
Level 3: Creative Innovation and Reflection
- Custom Projects: Encourage students to design and build their own unique projects, fostering creativity and innovation by utilizing all the skills they’ve learned.
- Individual Challenges: Tackle larger, multi-faceted projects independently, requiring comprehensive problem-solving and application of advanced skills.
- Presentation and Reflection: Develop presentation skills by sharing their projects with instructors, reflecting on their learning process, and receiving constructive feedback to improve their designs.
Level 4
Level 4: Introduction to Robotics and Programming
- Basic Robotics Principles: Understand the core components of Raspberry Pi Robotics Advanced, including motors, sensors, and the intelligent Hub, and learn how they interact.
- Fundamental Coding Skills: Get introduced to the Robotics app and start with block-based programming, focusing on basic commands, sequences, and simple loops.
- Initial Projects: Build and program simple robots and contraptions, such as a driving base or a basic robotic arm, to grasp the basic concepts of movement and control.
Level 5
Level 5: Intermediate Robotics and Computational Thinking
- Complex Building Techniques: Learn to construct more intricate models using advanced building techniques, incorporating gears, linkages, and more sophisticated mechanical designs.
- Advanced Programming Concepts: Explore more complex coding elements such as conditional statements, loops, and variables, enabling more dynamic and interactive projects.
- Thematic Problem-Solving: Engage in projects that address specific challenges or themes, such as creating a sorting machine or a robotic pet, to apply and integrate engineering and coding skills.
Level 6
Level 6: Advanced Innovation and Mastery
- Custom and Creative Projects: Encourage students to design and build their own unique robots and devices, utilizing the full range of components and their acquired skills in engineering and programming.
- Complex Individual Challenges: Work on comprehensive projects that require a deep understanding of robotics and programming, such as creating a multi-functional robotic system or an automated task robot.
- Presentation and Iteration: Develop presentation skills by documenting and sharing their projects with instructors, reflecting on their design and programming process, and iterating based on feedback to achieve optimal solutions.

Mr. Edwin worked in various multinational companies in Greater China, Hong Kong, and North America (including Silicon Valley, California, USA) in roles such as computer programming, systems analysis, management, and technical support. He also possesses extensive experience in education and training, having served as a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Department of Information Systems at City University of Hong Kong, as well as teaching computer and mathematics subjects at secondary schools.
